ACHE of South Florida understands that healthcare workers fighting the coronavirus pandemic have faced tremendous challenges over the past eighteen months, including a shortage of personal protective equipment, long hours, overtime and time away from family. Please know that we salute you for your continued service and dedication to your patients, the community, and our profession during these unprecedented times. We honor you, we thank you and we consider you true everyday heroes.
As part of its continued support and commitment to the local South Florida healthcare community, ACHE of South Florida has established three Healthcare Heroes Awards, each worth $1,500. We understand that this is a small token in comparison to the challenges you may face each day and want you to know that you are truly appreciated.
ACHE of South Florida has a mission of supporting its members through education, networking, mentoring, and providing career-related resources. We define “front line workers” as employees within the healthcare industry who must physically show up to their job and provide direct patient care such as physicians, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, CNAs, paramedics, hospital unit directors/managers, environmental services (EVS), nutritional services, infection prevention or anyone else that has direct contact with patients.
