Summer 2021

As we continue to balance what is happening in Florida, it is very important to focus on our mental health. Here are some tips to keep in mind:

  • 1) Connect with others. Develop and keep strong relationships with people who will support you.
  • 2) Play! Plan something fun! – Make time every day to enjoy something you really like to do. Be silly and laugh – laughter can recharge you. I go to CrossFit and just started hot yoga; keep your routine.
  • 3) Ask for help. Everyone hits bumps in the road. Ask a friend, co-worker, or mentor for help and advice.
  • 4) Take care of yourself. It’s easier to feel happy if your body feels good. Exercise. Enjoy a good breakfast. Drink water, have a healthy snack, and eat a balanced diet. Physical and mental health are tied together. Be good to your body.
  • 5) Rest. Sleep restores both your mind and body.

Keep these in mind and continue to think about today and the wins you can focus on while living in the moment. All of this is helpful to your mental health.

Continue to get involved with the chapters as there are a lot of upcoming events and education sessions throughout the state, including the upcoming Florida Hospital Association Annual Conference in Orlando in October that will have an ACHE Face to Face event during this conference. Make sure to visit all three sites to tap into the best education & networking events out there. Stay connected through LinkedIn, social media, and the websites below as continued discussion and planning on in-person events.

If there is anything I may be able to do for you, please do not hesitate to reach out. Let’s get ready for a fun-packed fall season with ACHE!

Until next time,
